Quins Ladies driven hard by Richmond
In a fiercely contested friendly against a combined Richmond 2s and 3s team, Harlequin Ladies fought for every inch of ground from the moment the whistle blew.

Richmond ran in several tries in the first third, but Quins Ladies’ fitness and determination shone through as the team prevented Richmond from obliterating the second two thirds.

The Ladies kept their heads up despite the number of players out of position and debuts for several new players. Showcasing the development of our pack, the scrums were formidable and the Ladies drove Richmond off the ball on a number of occasions. The line outs were also delectable in the level of skill they highlighted and reluctant jumper Kyra Howell made herself a thorn in the side of the Richmond forwards, disrupting several line outs.

Rather than dwell on the score line, the Ladies come away from the match with even more to build upon as we draw ever closer to the first league game of the season. Stepping up the force of our rucks and emulating the power of our scrums in all contact situations will help the Ladies stamp their mark on the league season ahead.
