Clowne Town CC Clowne Town Suffer Against Parwich!
By Phil Bennett - July 30 2003
A very poor batting display led to defeat against Parwich with only Len Wright and Paul Osborne making any sort of score. Clowne were bowled out for 74 and Parwich only required 23 overs to knock them off. However Josh Womble continued to impress bowling 6 overs of legspin for 13 runs. >

Clowne Town Suffer Against Parwich!
26/07/03
At Clowne

Clowne were put into to bat on a slow pitch by the Parwich captain and Jamie Fellows and Chris Hendley opened the batting. What followed was the most disapointing display of batting this season as medium pacer Allsop ripped through the Clowne line up with all to much ease. Phil Bennett, Graham White, and Ian Parsons recorded ducks and the rest of the batting line up fared little better the only players to emerge with a semblence of credit were Len Wright and Paul Osborne who scored 18 and 17 respectively. The most disapointing aspect was that all the wickets were given away in a very soft fashion. Clowne recorded a dismal 74 all out.

Clowne Town 74 all out

Parwich's formidable batting line up coasted to this score in 23 overs for two wickets, Jamie Fellows and Steve Bennet taking one each. Worth a mention is the improving Josh Womble's six overs of leg spin which went for just 13 the up and coming under 15 will provide much needed competition in the slow bowling stake's in the week's to come. A dreadful performance all in all which must be put right next week at Darley Dale.

Parwich 75-2
