Calvin and Dale opened the bowling. After some good shots off came the 2 openers who both failed to take a wicket. On came M.Linacre (3-0-12-0) and J.Kinsey who got the breakthrough having C.Sowden caught by A.Wright for 20. The skipper then took himself off (2-0-15-1). On came Josh and Hayley. These two bowled well and kept the runs down. Josh (3-1-4-0) was then replaced by Dale. At the other end Hayley was bowling the spell of his life taking 5 wickets for 6 runs, in the process being the first player this season to take 10 wickets in the season and also 5 wickets in a match. Dale then finished Chesterfield off taking the last wicket (3.1-0-17-1). Chesterfield were bowled out for 71.

A super effort, much improved and we should carry this on into the final. The fielding was spot on there was sliding saves, dives and good run outs. Not one chance was put down.

We played to our potential and when we do we are capable of beating all the teams in this league.

Once again there was lot’s of support and I hope that we will have all of the Clubs Support for the final against Staveley, Check the Message Board for the date of the final.
