Clowne Town Blow Away Baslow!
05/06/03
At Baslow

Clowne won the toss and elected to bat first.

Clowne opened the batting with D.Steers and J.Kinsey who put on a 14 run partnership before Dale was bowled for 8. In came M.Linacre who played the ball round very well and got a very well deserved 51. Joseph was bowled for 18 so this meant that M.Lowton and M.Parker were in at the end. Matt Lowton finished with 17* and Matt Parker 29*.

Clowne finished on 154-2
Once again we passed 150.
A good batting display.

Clowne opened the bowling with Dale who was fast and destructive and A.Wright. Dale bowled a good 3 over spell finishing with figures of 3-2-1-2 and Adam finished with 2-0-10-0. On came Joseph and L.Onion who went for 21 of his first over and was taken off after 3 finishing with 3-0-28-1. Joseph was bowling well and got their captain out caught behind for 9. He finished with figures of 5-0-25-3. Matt Parker (2-0-2-1) and Calvin (2-0-3-0) bowled tight but were taken off to give others chance to state a claim for a regularly bowl. So on came G.Wood (1-0-10-0). For the last 2 overs R.Norman (1-0-2-0) and M. O’Gorman (1-0-1-0).

Baslow finished on 89-8.

A very good performance, the batting gave the chance to try out some more bowling options.

Clowne win by 65 runs.
