Under 15’s make A.G.D look like Clowns!

At AGD

Clowne lost the toss and were put into bat on a wet, blower friendly wicket. Steers and Kinsey strode out to the middle and prepared to face the opening attack of Dudhill and Latt. Dudhill was first to break the opening partnership getting Kinsey caught at cover for 3 in the 3rd over. This brought M.Linacre to the crease who began to play his normal game and made a very good 25 before being bowled by A.Jevons(2-0-9-1).

Steers then retired on 55. A wonderful innings coming from just 33 balls, finishing with a 6. Parker and Houghton were at the crease and both finished unbeaten on 21 and 8 respectively.

Clowne finished on 148-3
Could we defend our total?

Using an unfamiliar opening attack, Clowne started the defence of their total and made a good start with Gareth Wood (5-4-8-4) having Durwood caught by skipper Kinsey for 3 in the 4th over. He then removed Briggs and Taylor both bowled, for ducks in the 5th over and he also bowled J.Pressed for 1 in the 7th over. A very good bowling performance by Wood, which could have caught the eye of the captain for a bowl next week? A.Wright (4-0-12-2) and Norman (3-0-6-0) both bowled really well along with Cook (3-0-6-0). Clowne bowled out A.G.D for a miserly 33. A good all-round performance by the Clowne boys..
