Clowne Town Cricket Club launches its own version of fantasy cricket featuring players from the three senior teams. Scores in the game will be based on real scores from real matches.

CLOWNE TOWN FANTASY CRICKET 2003: RULES

TEAM SELECTION

  1. 11 players in a team.

  2. Teams must include 5 Batsmen, 2 Allrounders, 4 Bowlers.

  3. 2 juniors (under 18) per team minimum.

  4. Team value must not exceed £45 million

SCORING

BATTING

  1. 2 points for every 10 runs.

  2. –5 points for a duck.

  3. –10 points for a golden duck.

  4. 10 Bonus points for a 50.

  5. 30 Bonus points for a 100.

  6. 2 Bonus points for a "Not Out."

BOWLING

  1. 2 points per wicket.

  2. 20 Bonus points for 5 wickets in a match.

  3. 50 Bonus points for 10 wickets in a match.

  4. 50 Bonus points for a "Hat Trick."

  5. 1 Bonus point for every maiden bowled

  6. –5 points for no wickets in a match (4 overs minimum must have been bowled).

FIELDING

  1. 2 points per catch

  2. 4 points per run out (fielder to throw the stumps down or to throw the ball to the wicketkeeper).

  3. 5 catches in a game 30 points

    4. FIELDING - TEAM POINTS

    1. 3 points for a team win

    2. 2 points for a team winning draw

    3. 1 point for a team losing draw

    4. 0 points for a team loss

    Player’s scores will be taken from their first game of that weekend. For example if Matthew Linacre plays for the 2nd team on Saturday and the 3rd team on Sunday then only his scores for the Saturday game will count. If the 1st and 2nd teams have a double weekend then points can be scored for both days. Cup games also go towards player’s scores.

    TRANSFERS

    3 transfers will be available to each team at any time throughout the season.

    ENTRY FEE

    £5 (we hope to get at least 30 participants and this will give us Total Prize money of £150 anything above this total would be a bonus).

    Prize distribution depends on how many people take part, First prize and runner up or a monthly winner could get a prizes.

    All entries must be handed in to Adam White, Phil Bennett or Jamie Fellows before the 22nd of April 2003 (the first team selection of the season.)

    The above 3 names will adjudicate all scores and any other rules not stated throughout the season and their decision is final!!!
