Clowne Town Cricket Club joined the Derbyshire County League at the start of the 2000 season. The season before joining the County League the club had a successful season in the Bassetlaw League, with the 1st Team winning its respective division.

During the clubs final year in the Bassetlaw League a new Pavilion was built to replace the old Pavilion (which now serves as the club store). The Pavilion was built by funds from the Lottery Sports council.

Along with the Clubs excellent facilities it also has a great youth programme, which is designed to attract youngsters to play cricket, along with improving young players already at the club.

The success of the youth programme can be judged by the number of youngsters playing for the senior sides. Check the Player Profiles.

However Despite the successful youth system at the club, we are still interested in adding new players to our squad. We are especially intrested in batsman who would beable to add experience to the first team next season.

But if you are interested in playing at a friendly club with excellent new facilities then please get in touch with myself either by e-mail benholmes5@hotmail.com or by phone on 07771982180 or just leave your details on the message board.

The clubs indoor nets begin on the first Sunday in Febuary at Cricketal in Chesterfield.
