HYTHE UNDER 15's

NEW FOREST LEAGUE

25th June Vs LYMINGTON

MATT HEAD TANTRUM - Hythe Beaten Before They Started.

As if The Under 15's didn't have a hard enough job playing against Lymington but when one of their players throws his toys out of his cot before the match and goes home, then that makes the task twice as tough.

Luckily for Hythe M.Waller kindly stepped in and made up the eleven.

But as expected Lymington were far too strong for our boys - knocking up 169 for 4 off their 18 overs. Tom Porter 38 rediscovered his May form to the delight of all those guys who put him in their fantasy teams based on his early form.

Toss Won by Hythe

Lee Powell won the toss and elected to put Lymington into bat. The Hythe bowlers found the going tough but stuck to their task and only conceeded 9 extras in the whole innings. ( Vastly Improved ).

Powell himself bowled the best of the Hythe bowlers 1-21 off 4 overs whilst it was pleasing to see Luke Blackwell amongst the wickets 2-26 off 4.

Lymington rattled up 169 for 4 off their 18 overs

In reply Hythe lost Blackwell 0. Powell 1 and Ben Smith 7 early and had Tom Porter 38 to thank for putting at least some respectability to the score. Tom hit 5 fours in successive balls at one stage.

He was eventually bowled and the bottom order quickly followed. Hythe finished on 63 for 7 but atleast we were not bowled out.
