Monday's AGM saw a new Chairman elected but other than that it was a fairly straight forward evening.

Nick Gilbert becomes Hythe's new Chairman following the stepping down of Richie Froggett's one year at the helm.

Its the first time Hythe had ever elected someone who has not represented the club at league cricket - since the amalgumation of Hythe Cricket Club & Dibden Purlieu Cricket Club back in 1948. I can see Picky shaking in his from above - However Nick's a popular guy amongst the seniors & colts parents having spent hours down the club watching his son Archie play, and he has a lot of experience & ideas to offer us off the field.

The three league skippers all agreed to carry on - Mike Bowman who was expected to stand down agreed to stay on and lead the 2nd XI play in the County divsions for the very first time. It's Mike's 11th season in charge. Andrew Woods will captain the new Fourth XI and James Page will captain the Border League side after Tom Huxley gave false information about Rob Saunders availability.

Saunders will however take charge of the Sunday XI for the 3rd consecutive season whilst Josh Mead will lead the Sunday 2nd XI into the Woodhouse Trophy campaign.
