Saturday 8th September

| Rob SAUNDERS |
| 38 & 3-39 |
What a difference a week makes - After last weeks win at Roundhills - Hythe returned to Bramshaw to face a different side which included several of their big guns and running out to a 132 run defeat.
Bramshaw made 291 for 7 off their 40 overs - Hythe in reply 159 all out.
Bramshaw won the toss and elected to bat first. Tim Rogers looked in his usual menacing form with the bat as the home side hit 35 off the first 5 overs. Stovell then took a wicket - Bowling J.Arnold for 4. Rogers & D'Monte took the score to 78 for 1 by the 15th over. Hythe who started with 10 had 11 for one over before Jack KO had to go with a bruised knee whilst fielding. Brother Tom took the catch of the innings catching Rodgers on the boundary for 60 off the bowling of Bryers.
That brought Terris & D'Monte together and the pair added 100 before D.Monter was caught off Chiverton by Duell for 72. Most of that 100 come off Chiverton who had little luck with drop catches. Terris retired on 101* . Saunders returned to take the wickets of Coombes & Boyd Hilton. Tom Knight -Owen bowled Sarisbury's County 1 player Dave Agah without scoring but the home side had ammassed 291 for 7 off their 40 overs. Saunders 3-39 & Stovell's 1-39 was impressive on this ground.
Hythe's reply never really got going after they lost Millar 15, Gilbert 4 & Page 13 with only 58 on the board. Rob Saunders 7 Jonjo Stovell added 34 for the 4th wicket before Saunders got impatient and was bowled by Agha for 38. Stovell and Martin Duell both made 26 each but Hythe never got going and were all out for 159.
Always a good atmosphere at Bramshaw though and the game was played in good spirit.
