Sunday 9th September

 |
| Chalky WHITE |
| 37 & 3-12 |
After 3 seasons of defeats at the Romsey Sports Centre - Hythe turned the tables on O.T's and with it spoilt their 10 game unbeaten record this season. Not a bad effort considering O.T's have beaten the likes of Hursley Park, Fawley, Calmore & Longparish on a Sunday this year.
Hythe batted first and set the home side 192 to win - thanks largely to a 96 - Sean Tongs (50) & Chalky White (37). Zac Millar (16), Jonjo Stovell (12) & Rob Saunders (12) all got starts but couldn't push on against some tidy bowling from Kate George 2-17, C.Melling 3-37 & Will Edwards 3-28.
O.T's got off to a decent start through J.Stuart & F.Martin. 52-0 came up in only the 10th over. Ali Bryers 0-30 off 5 was replaced by Jonjo Stovell with instant reward. Stovell bowling Martin for 26. Next over Rob Saunders bowled Stuart for 26 - OT's 55 for 2 off 13. Saunders bowled out 1-26 off 8 to be replaced by Kev McCarthy. One ball before drinks Stovell struck again having Agrawal caught & bowled for 5.
Romsey's impressive young wicket keeper T.George (2) became McCarthys first wicket when Stovell took a catch. Very next ball big wicket when McCarthy bowled East Tytherley legend Will Edwards first ball. - O.T's 85 for 5. At the other end though S.Wood looked menacing smashing super Kev for 2x6's and a four in four balls. Wood brought up his fifty with another six off JKO and he & skipper R.Newman took the score upto 148 in the 31st over needing just 44 off 9 before Chalky White struck bowling Newman for 16.
Well lead throughout by Rob Saunders - Hythe hopes lifted and Saunders turned to Sam Mead to bowl. Six runs later Mead had the dangerous Woods caught by Tongs for 62 - O.T's now 154 for 7. Nick Shrive then run out Birch for 0 then White struck again having Kate George bowled for 4 and then finishing the game off by bowling Melling for 0. O.T's all out for 158 - Hythe win by 33 runs.
