Thursday August 28th 2012
| T&E Retain Trophy Despite Harry's Efforts |
Totton & Eling again walked away with the annual Matt Miller Mermorial Trophy in front of another good crowd at Jones Lane.
Totton & Eling batted and set a challenging 115 for 4 off their 16 overs. Ali Bryers took two wickets for Hythe as D.Forbes 31, N.Jenkins 26 & Kevin Dorrington 24* batted well for T&E.
Hythe's reply was going no where 43 for 4 at the half way stage until Harry Smith set upon his new team mates in style. Smith hit 4x4's & 4x6's in 42* which took Hythe to just 3 runs from victory.
But at the end of the day it was charity that was the most important thing and Kev & Elaine James were able to raise £271.61 for their local cause.
