Skipper Ladbury won the toss and elected to bat first on a pitch that the side had previously be skittled out for 13. Hythe got off to a less than convincing start with Mould run out in the second over. This was fllowwed by a top order collapse with Lewie Fay caught out for 5, his brother Harrison out for 4 and Lucas gone for a duck.

Hythe wer 23-5 and staring down the possibility of being bowled out cheaply again at home. It took a partnership of 31 between Molyneux and Knight-Owen to rescue the green caps. Knight-Owen eventually fell for 8 before Carley and Cooper fell cheaply. Molyneux went on to 30 not out in the second to last over and appeared to be batting on a different pitch to the other batsman. Swainston finished not out for 2 and Lever was bowled out off the last ball for 3. Hythe 86-9

Hythe opened the bowling with Carley and Ladbury. Carley bowled his 4 overs with the only runs scored from 2 wides and a wicket to his name to finish with figures of 4-3-2-1. Ladubury picked up 2 in his second over, B Decan bowled as was J Norris.

Lever picked up one wicket, as did Swainston who bowled 4 overs for 13 runs. Harrison Fay in his single over got the wicket of Simmons with an excellent caught and bowled. Knight-Owen picked up 2, both clean bowled to finish with figures of 4-1-9-2. Lucas had the solitary over for 6 runs. Lymington blocked the overs out to finish 66-8 - Hythe win by 20 runs
