At drinks BW had moved onto 58 for 6 after the impressive Bellie in the field - run out Barrett for 6. Froggett finished with 3-25 off 10 and White 2-29 off 10. Bowman introduced Sam Long and Richard Last into the attack. Long bowled Platt for 9 in his second over and Fonzy immeadiately followed suit - having Paton caught & bowled for 9. Fonz 3 overs for 14 was replaced by Wrighty who bowled McGhee for 0. Long then ended the innings having Lister caught by Froggett for 0 - BW 82 all out in just 28.1 overs.
After an extended tea break because of rain - Hythe's target changed when umpire Dickie Saunders decided 4 overs were lost and Hythe now required 77 to win.
Guru his the second ball of the innings for 4 but with the score on 12 - he was bowled by Pratt for 10. Wayne Effeny was judged LBW by Dickie Saunders for 3 - Hythe 24 for 2 off 8. James Page and Mike Bowman added 19 for the 3rd wicket before the finger went up again - LBW to Carrs for 13. One run later - Bowman was run out for 16 - Hythe wobbling at 44 for 4. Bell making up for running out his skipper hit two 4's before becoming the 5th wicket to fall at 61 for 13.
