| CALMORE SPORTS vs HYTHE SUN XI |
Sunday 29th July
| Chalkys First Fifty But Hythe Lose @ Loperwood |
 |
| Chalky WHITE 55 |
Hythe's annual visit to Loperwood corresponded with the final game in the Woodhouse Trophy meaning Hythe did well to field two sides but the First XI was weaker than usual.
Calmore batted first - and with good performances with the bat from D.Croft 60, M.Taylor 43 and A.Kriel 30 the home side ammassed 206 for 6 from their 40 overs. Saunders took 3-39 off his 8 overs and Kev McCarthy 2-30.
It was going to take a big effort from Hythe's depleted team to get close but they found an unlikely run maker in Chalky White who hit his maiden half century for the club - an innings which included 6x4's. Sean Tongs hit 45* and with skipper Rob Saunders chipping in with 23* - Hythe finished on 175 for 4. Calmore win by 32 runs.
