Hythe 2nd XI pulled off a very good 4 wicket win over high flying neighbours Langley Manor on Saturday. With both sides demonstrating strong bowling attacks - is was the Hythe bowlers who came out on top as Josh Mead, Richie Froggett and Mike Edwards took two wickets a piece to keep Langley Manor to 130-8.
Hythe lost Tongs and Porter early but Mike Bowman 51 & Ewan Bell 38 shared a 89 run 3rd wkt partnership to put the game in Hythe's control. Hythe got home with 15 balls spare.
