| HYTHE 2nd XI vs RYDE II |
Hampshire Reg Division 1 South
Saturday 16th July
| SECOND XI OFF & RUNNING |
 |
| Sean TONGS 62* |
Hythe 2nd XI's kick started their season with a convincing 9 wicket win over Ryde II's.
Wayne Effeny starred with the ball taking 4-19 but special mention for 16 year old Josh Mead who bowled 10 overs 2-9.
When the Gurus on form Hythe 2's are on form and the veteran hit 62* inc 7x4's and a six to take the Green Caps to a 9 wicket win with 11 overs spare.
Spare a thought for the Ryde boys - 9am ferry across and a 11pm one back to the Island makes it a hell of a long day every other week and we moan about travelling to Wickham.
