Sunday 27th May
| HYTHE UNDER 11's vs PYLEWELL PARK |
| Close Encounter For Under 11's As They Go Out Of The Cup |
Hythe Under 11's are out of the cup at the first hurdle but not until after a cracking game aginst Pylewell Park at Jones Lane. The game went to the wire but in the end Pylewell won by 4 runs.
Pylewell batted first and were soon in trouble thanks to the bowling of Tom Jones. He removed both Trevll and Millar for ducks. Assisted by 34 extras PP took their score to 86 for 5 at the close. Tom Ferrier (2) and a Fraser Smith run out were the other wickets whilst Trendrow 13 & Mills 13* top scored for PP. Jones 2-12 off 4 & Smith 0-9 off 3 were Hythe's most economical bowlers.
Hythe's batting was fairly similar - two quick wickets at the begining and 37 extras but Sam Fenton 19 held the innings together. Sadly the Green Caps weren't able to get over the line and Hythe bowed out of this years competition.
