The LCA's IPL Under 15 League finally got off the ground & disappointment for Hythe Under 15's - losing to Hedge End by 3 Wkts

Plus points for the Green Caps - an unheard of maiden by Sam Kelly and 31* from Alex Nicholas

Elliott Carley was named captain for the LCA IPL series of games, his first task was to lose the toss and for Hythe to bat first. The Green Caps opened with Carley & Gilbert and it was Gilbert out first, run out for 7. In at number 3 was Nicholas but it was Carley who fell next for 8 runs caught going for the big shot.

Nicholas began to warm up and in his innings he hit 4 fours and 1 six in an unbeaten 31. Bryers scored 5 before being bowled and Kelly was caught and bowled for a golden duck. Fenton finished with 2 not out but looked to back Nicholas out as he was causing the damage. - Hythe scored 65-4

Hythe opened the bowling with Nicholas who conceded 9 off his first over. Bryers bowled the second and struggled with his front foot sliding across the front foot line and was being called for no balls, he went for 18. Nicholas struggled with a couple of wides in his second over but other than that he bowled with good pace.

Fenton bowled just the one over that went for just 5 and Carley bowled 2 overs that went for 18, he picked up the wicket of Callum which was caught by Bryers. Kelly bowled 2 overs, the first of which was a wicket maiden, Bowling L Ayling for 2 and then went on to concede 8 runs off his second over, but Hedge End had scored enough. - Hedge End 68-3
