Missing Bail from Rotterdam were the latest tourists to Jones Lane. A 3pm start meant a 35 over contest.
The Dutch side batted first scoring 200 for 9 off with Kev McCarthy 2-33, Josh Mead 2-24 and Jonjo Stovell 2-28 the pick of the Hythe bowlers.
Hythe got off to a perfect start as Stovell 46 and Sean Tongs 79 put on 116 for the first wicket in 20 overs. From that point the Hythe batsman hit the self destruct button and only Tony North 14 made it into double figures. Koen van de Everdingen took 6-29 for the tourists. Hythe ending up 179 all out - 21 runs short.
But a good game against pleasant opposition.
