Once again the annual fixture with Bedhampton lived upto its reputation as Hythe's top Sunday fixture. Bedhampton batted first and after a solid start 50-1 slumped to 110-8 before a last wicket partnership of 46 took the score to 183 all out. Jonjo Stovell was the pick of the Hythe bowlers 3-15 with two wickets a piece for James Page, Richards and Smith.
Hythe's chase got off to a great start with Tom Richards and Sean Tongs putting on 104 for the first wicket in 22 overs. Tongs was bowled by Fenn for 59 and immeadiately after Richards went to the same bowler for 38. Hythe then had their usual mini slump losing Young and Bell cheaply - Hythe 117-4 off 28.
Matt Howe and Zac Millar added 41 for the 5th wicket before Millar was caught for 7. Three more wickets fell for 12 runs and Bedhampton were back in the game having the Green Caps 170 for 8. But Harry Smith wasn't going to let Mr.Hovey have the bragging rights and hit 2 fours and a six to win the game with 14 balls remaining. Smith finishing 17* Jack Knight-Owen 4*
