Pre-Cup Final Activity This Weekend For Colts
Hythe and Dibden Colts sides, Under 11s and Under 13s, look to a weekend full of fixtures ready for the Cup final on the 3rd of September. The Under 11s have been entered into a 6 aside competition at Bashley on Sunday and then on Monday a side made up of Under 13s and Under 11s take on Parley in a 30 over a side friendly.

Bashley 6 aside Cup Sunday 14th August
In what is the fifth year of the competition Hythe’s under 11s will be looking to use this as good practice for the Cup final and to put the hard work in training over the last 2 weeks into practice. The green caps have been drawn in group B with Andover, Bashley ‘B’, New Milton and Lymington.

Hythe’s Team consists of:

| Fraser Smith | who scored 12 not out at Lymington |
| Robbie Bassett | who kept excellently for Hythe the last time they were at Bashley |
Rules :
Innings are 5 overs each, with each player bowling one over apart from the Wicket Keeper. 5 Points awarded for the win and 2 points awarded in the event of a tie. Players can only oven the batting twice in the group stages and then only once in the finals. The winner and runner up in each group will make up the Semi finals.

Hythe & Dibden vs Parley
3pm Start @ Jones Lane
A Hythe Colts side will face Parley on Monday at 3pm in a 30 over aside friendly. The game which has been rearranged on a number of occasions has called on both Under 13 and Under 11 squads with so many away on holiday. We are extremely grateful to Parley for matching the strength with the same number of players for each age group; this should make for an interesting game. A big thank you has to also go to Mrs Gilbert for persisting with this fixture as Holidays, start times and location problems almost forced the game off.
Under 13s Captain Ali Briers will take charge of the fixture with a team consisting of 5 Under 13s and 6 Under 11s. Jonjo Stovell has agreed to umpire.
The Under 13s have made the cup final after solid wins against Totton and Eling in the Cup Quarter Finals and then Bramshaw in the Semis. The under 11s faced a longer route taking on Bramshaw in the first round, New Milton in the Quarters and then Wellow and Plaitford in the Semis to make the finals.
