HYTHE 3rd XI Vs SWAY 2nd XI

Sway Too Strong For Hythe On Emotional Day For Green Caps
 |
| Tony NORTH 23 |
Playing 3rd place Sway & with everyone still shell shocked by the past 24 hours - Hythe 3rd XI were a well beaten side by 6pm. Sway skipper Pete Bennett put Hythe into bat and they were skittled for just 88 in 29 overs - Tony North top scored with 23. All the Sway bowlers bowled well David 3-37, Stone 2-16, Marshall 2-14 and Bramwell 2-21.
Hythe then found the going tough in the field as 1st teamer R.Clarke hammered his way to 54 not out.
Clarke hit 5x4's but only after failing to walk second ball when he nicked behind to Tony North off Kev McCarthy. The only wicket to fall R.How who had to get back to his dog on the touchline - out for 15 caught by North off Sam Page for 15.
Thanks to Sway for supporting the Hythe lads on a difficult day. Sway comfortable winners and fingers crossed they will get that third promotion place which hopefully will give them 4 sides in different leagues next season.
