Hythe 1's vs Pylewell Park
Last Over Defeat For Hythe 1's
Tom Richards 28*
Pylewell Park beat Hythe with one ball remaining in the latest round of Division 1 matches but remain stuck to the foot of the table by 8 points a drift of the Green Caps.
Hythe batted first and got off to the perfect start as both Matt Howe 25* and Tom Richards 28* had to retire. Zac Millar fell for just 9 before Robbie James 22 and Harry Smith 21 added late runs supported by Gary Howe 11* (in for the unavailable Froggie) Hythe finishing on 134 for 3.
For Pylewell the Fawley bound James Woolgar went for just 14 off his 3 overs which included 11 dot balls.
Graham Smith looked in good form for Pylewell adding 42 for the first wicket with Gates before the latter was caught by Matt Howe off Rob James for 10. The dangerous Woolgar was run out by Tom Richards and when Howman was run out by Harry Smith - Pylewell were 52 for 3 and Hythe seemed in charge.
Tranter was run out by Millar for 10 but M.Doe 28* and Graham Smith 50* took the basement side to victory with just one ball remaining. For Hythe Rob James was the pick of the bowlers 2 for 25 off 3.
Hythe finish off their season against Bashley Rydal whilst Pylewell face Champions Paultons next week.
