BOOK THE WEEK OFF GUYS - HYTHE'S 6th WEST COUNTRY TOUR

Venturing Into Devon & Cornwall

The 2011 Tour Fixtures are all finalised with the Green Caps once again venturing into Cornwall.

Accommodation isn't confirmed at present because The George Hotel has been sold to Travelodge. Gareth at the Toby has offered to do us something on the breakfast front if we can get booked into The George.

So watch this space on the Hotel front but we may find it hard to compete with last years excellent rate of £20pp per night including full english breakfast.

On the playing front 3 new fixtures with 3 trips into Cornwall. The tour will be completed with a game on the Thursday at Wimbourne's new ground on the way home.

Day 2 and Hythe venture into Cornwall to face Menheniot & Looe on the recommendation of @ Callington.

Menheniot run 4 Saturday sides with their 1st XI playing in County 2 and their 2nd XI in County 3

2010 was the first season of the amalgumation of clubs.

Tuesdays Game @ LANHYDROCK

Day 3 and a new fixture as we go round the Bodmin Moors to the village of Lanhydrock.

Andy @ Brixham described the gound as stunning.

Lanhydrock 1st XI play their league cricket in County 4 East after finishing bottom of East Divison 3 last season. There 2nd XI play in Division 6.

Should be a great day and the hosts have promised a barbeque afterwards.

Wednesdays Game @ CALLINGTON

http://callington.play-cricket.com/home/home.asp

Wednesday sees the Green Caps return to Cornwall to play 'A' Division side Callington.

Bellie's already eyeing up another ton.

The Cornish side who thanks to Karen and hosted us very well last season - had a good season in 2010 where their 1st XI finished 4th in the Premier League.

Their 2nd / 3rd and 4th XI all finished 2nd in their respective league and promoted.

Thursdays Game @ WIMBOURNE.

http://www.wimbornecricketclub.co.uk/

With last seasons opponents cutting back on midweek fixtures - we have been offered a fixture at 'The Leaze' Wimbournes excellent new ground on the way home.

At least it will mean only a 40 minute journey home after the game and Wimbourne usually put out a decent midweek side.

Wimbourne 1st XI play in the Dorset Premier League where they finished 8th last season and their 2nd XI - 5th in Division 2.
