Hythe 2's vs Brockenhurst
Bellie's Veterans Seal Crushing Win
Wayne EFFENY 3-16 & 21*
Thumped on the opening game of the season - Hythe 2's bounced back with a crushing 6 wicket win over Brockenhurst last night.
Brockenhurst playing their first game of the season - got off to a good start through S.Mallinson and T.Kilsby but once the first wicket fell at 31 they had no answer to Hythe's slick fielding superbly lead by Bellie who was throwing himself all over the place and the bowling of Wayne Effeny who took 3 for 16. Brockenhurst all out for 79.
Hythe 3's combined age last week of the opening pair - just over 30 years - Hythe 2's however over 90 as Sean Tongs opened with Wayne Effeny. Assisted by 38 extras they took Hythe to the win in just 8 overs. Effeny finishing on 21* and Tongs 22*. Hythe take 14 points.
Bellie would like to thank Becky for scoring both the 1st team and 2nd team games and for Jonjo and Rob Saunders for umpiring.
