By Web - July 21 2010
Hythe's latest mid-week game  came against Kent touring side Blue Bell Hill. A cracking game saw the game go the final ball and the tourists win by 1 run. At 3.15 though with the tourists 47 for 7 ' Jiggy' skippering the side - was wanting to know how to prolong the game. Little did he know that the tourists had reversed the batting. Blue Bell ended on 195 for 9. Hythe in reply suffered a similar fate slumping to 42 for 5 but a 61 run partnership between Tongs (23) & Stovell (47) set up an exciting finish.

Tourists Edge Another Close Midweek Game

Hythe entertained tourists Blue Bell Hill from Kent as part of their 3 day New Forest Tour. When the tourists were 47 for 7 'Jiggy' de Jager was asking ' what can I do to make a game of it' - No need Jiggy they reversed the order and ended up making 195 for 9 though Kev McCarthy took an excellent 8-4-12-3

Hythe in reply too were struggling at 42 for 5 but a 69 run partnership between Sean Tongs 7 Jonjo Stovell put them back in contention - Richards and de Jager took the score to 11 needed off 2 overs but in the end the tourists won by 1 run.
