HYTHE & DIBDEN UNDER 11's

NEW FOREST LEAGUE NORTH DIVISION

Sunday 9th May

REDLYNCH & HALE vs HYTHE UNDER 11's

Under 11’s Gain Hythe Their First Colts Win

Freddie MOLYNEUX 12	Tom LADBURY 3-9

Hythe lost the toss and Redlynch elected to bowl first. Skipper Neal Reid and big hitter Jacob Mould opened the batting only managing to put on 8 runs, Redlynch seemed to have a tight bowling line up from the first four overs. However no wickets were taken from the opening partnership. Freddie and Tom Ladbury were the second partnership to bat, the pair put on 16 runs with Freddie top scoring with 12. Once again no wickets were taken in the partnership. The two younger boys were next into bat, Lewie and Sam did a good job with Lewie hitting some impressive big shots, the first wickets for Redlynch were taken in this over with 3 falling. The final pair was Pieter and Jack, once again Pieter managed to hit some lovely shots and managed to tally up 11, while jack struggled to hit the slightly quicker bowling. A much improved batting inns for Hythe after reducing the amount of wickets given away by 8, saving them 40 runs. An impressive 257 was the final score. Thanks for umpiring this inns Smithy.

Hythe’s turn to bowl and Huxley’s to umpire. Neal sorted his bowling line-up out and opened with Tom Ladbury. Tom bowled 3 over's and his figures where 3-9 impressive stuff Tom. Jacob Mould took 3 brilliant catches in the match with 2 of his own bowling and one off Tom’s. With young gun Sam Copley opening uphill he bowled 2 over's 0-9. Pieter bowled well with exactly the same figures as Sam 0-9 off 2 over’s. Neal then put himself on to bowl and was slightly expensive giving away 17 off 2 over's, unlucky but the batter just loved the pull shot. Jack A-Hurst bowled two over's 1-13, a fair few loose wides but he was rewarded with a great clean bowled wicket. Jacob managed to get wickets instead of runs this week with 2-15 off 3 over's. Lewie Fay was once again very tight with his bowling keeping it well pitched up and all on the off stump. Finishing on 0-6 off 2 over, maybe he should have been brought on again for the last over?!

Once again a great performance from the Under 11’s, lets hope we can pull off another fine performance at our first home game this Sunday.
