Hythe 2's In a Hurry As They Crush Sway 1's

| Earned Praise From The Skipper |
Hythe 2's stormed to an impressive 3 wicket win over Sway 1's at Priestlands on Sunday afternoon after dismissing the forest side in just 16 minutes .
Bellie's side continued their surge up the tabel after some fine fielding by the Green Caps and woeful running between the wickets which saw Sway dismissed for just 74 in 7.1 overs - this after being 38 for 0. In total 4 run outs occured including the crucial wicket of the talented Jack Walton.
Harry Smith and Dave Guymer took a wicket a piece whilst Tongs smartly stumped How. The Run Outs were created by Bell, Porter, Guymer and 1 more but Ewan could only remember his own.
In reply Hythe started well through Tongs and Bell putting on 36 before Tongs was caught and bowled. Tom Porter and Dave Guymer fell quickly but Bell 19* well supported by Russell Moore 6* saw Hythe home with 4 overs remaining.
With one game to go against Fawley 2's Hythe look a safe bet for a 3rd place finish.
Bellie was chuffed to bits with the result praising all his lads for another fine team performance especially Russell Moore who showed a very professional and sensible approach at the end of the game by taking 6 consecutive singles off the 8th over.
Certainly it was nice to get a victory over our friends rivals from the forest as we can't seem to beat them at the 11 a side game in recent years.
Hythe won the toss and chose to bowl first.
