Hythe 2's vs Ordnance Survey

Bellie's 43 Can't Stop Defeat For Hythe 2's

Ewan Bell 43

A swashbuckling 43 from Hythe Skipper Ewan Bell couldn't prevent his side from their first Indoor defeat of the season against last years division 2 runners up Ordnance Survey.

OS won the toss and elected to bat first. Hythe's 2's claimed two early wickets but then let the game slip in the final overs as Survey finished on 131 for 5. Harry Smith was the pick of the Hythe bowlers with claiming 2-27. The last two overs going for 40 and the extras count (53) didn't help the cause.

Sean Tongs 12 and Ewan Bell got Hythe off to a decent start but a middle order collapse meant there was no support for Bells excellent knock of 43 and Hythe were all out for 100 in just 9.4 overs.

Ordnance Survey won the toss and chose to bowl first.
