HYTHE UNDER 13'S vs ELLINGHAM

2nd July @ Hythe

REDUCED GAME DOESN'T BOTHER UNDER 13'S

Elliott CARLEY 29 Alex NICHOLAS 3-17

Hythe Under 13's made it three wins on a spin as they beat Ellingham by 39 runs on a sunny evening at Jones Lane.

Was there a little bit of cockiness set in - as Hythe shuffled their batting card around, and probably underestimating the Elliungham bowling. They lost three early wickets including the skipper and were indebted to Zac Millar once again 33*, Elliott Carley 29 and James Bidwell 13 for reaching 99 for 5 when the Ellingham umpire ( forgot wer'e here to give colts cricket ) and decided to use the one hour rule.

Spurred on by this - there was no messing around with the bowling as Froggie stuck to his big guns opening the attack. Kieran Chalmers took 2-7 off 3 and Josh Mead 2-13 off 4 to put the visiotrs in trouble. Alex Nichols then came on and produced his best spell of the season 3-17 off 3 to give the green caps a 39 run win..
