HYTHE SUNDAY XI vs FAWLEY
Sunday 21st June
Hythe Beat Fawley at a Canter - Two Wins In a Week Over The Oilers Have They Gone Soft
 |
 |
| Ben SMITH 4-29 | Matt HOWE - 67* |
A strong Hythe Sunday XI including five first teamers easily saw off the challnge of local rivals Fawley on Sunday. Fawley batted first and struggled to 127 all out. The Smith brothers did the damage Ben taking 4-29 and brother Harry 3-20.
There were also good performances from Jon Weall, Ian Prentice and also the returning Nardus Grobler who hopefully will give the first team a big boost over the next 5 weeks. Steve Cox 43 and Elliott Earl 44 batted well for the oilers.
Hythe in reply took just 20 overs to score the 128 needed - Matt Howe scored 67* , Sean Tongs 22 and Nardus Grobler 28*.
