Opening Defeats For Indoor Teams
1's Go Down To Rivals Fawley
Hythe 1's came up against a strong Fawley 1st team and were comprehensively beaten with 7 balls remaining. Hythe batted first and after losing James Page early on - skipper Matt Howe (34*), Mike Bowman (35) and Gary Howe (31*) set Hythe with a decent total to defend in 143 for 4. Unfortunately for the green caps the Fawley batting proved far too strong for the bowlers who all, will have better days with the ball.
