HYTHE & DIBDEN CRICKET CLUB

PRESENTATION EVENING
Fountain Court was the venue for this seasons Presentation Evening and well done to Sue and Richie Froggett for organising another successful event.
Thanks also to Dawn Bowman (Sorry don't know the surname but it would be Bowman if Mike gets his finger out) for her involvement in getting the venue at such a good rate.
Many awards were given out on the evening to both the Senior and Colts players on the night. Once a again it was great to see both sections of the club in one room.
The top award of the evening had to be the Players Player Awards for our League Teams which was won by Simon Wright for the First XI (watched by new son Charlie) and Wayne Effeny for the Second XI.

LONG SERVICE AWARD
 |
The final award of the evening was presented to Paul Whitlock who after 30 years great service to the club, 1,150 wickets and 8,300 runs has hung up his boots. Whits will be mostly remembered for captaining the 2001 First XI who won County 4 title with an unblemished record of 13-0.
A silver salver and bottle of Krug Champagne was presented to the Whits who could have easily gone onto play Southern League Cricket but decided instead to stay loyal to his local club.
