O.T's & Romsey Vs Hythe Under 15'S
18th June @ Romsey Sports Centre
Top of The Table O.T's Too Strong For Under 15's In Cup
Hythe Under 15's bowed out of the cup competition this year when they faced top of the North League O.T's & Romsey at Romsey Sports Centre last night. Romsey batted first and made 131 for 7 with Hythe scoring 52 all out in reply. Hythe owed half their score to Sam Mead who scored 23 including 4 fours and a six.
The difference in experience showed last night as Hythe came up against a very strong and more physical O.T's & Romsey side.
O'T's powered their way to 131 for 7 though Jonjo Stovell put up some resistance with the ball taking 3 for 20 off 4 overs which he can be proud of. Tom Richards also claimed 2 wickets for Hythe with Todd Powell and Sam Page claiming one each.
The total was always beyond Hythe's reach and Whithead removed both Hythe openers for Ducks. D.Lord 6 and Sam Mead 23 were the only batsman to make any real resistance as the Green Caps were bowled out for 52.
So only the league to concentrate on now and this improving team can hopefully win a few more matches before the end of the season.
