HYTHE UNDER 13'S Vs PYLEWELL PARK
15th May @ Pylewell Park
Under 13's Go Down @ Pylewell.
Hythe’s U13’s continued their tough start to the season when they visited Pylewell Park on Thursday evening.
On winning the toss Hythe elected to bat first and quickly lost the wicket of Richard Jones for 1. A good partnership then evolved of 30 in 7 overs between Josh Mead 8 and Kieran Chalmers. Chalmers continued to bat well and reached 30* which meant he had to retire - his innings included 4 fours.
Unfortunately Hythe then struggled in the last 8 overs scoring only 25 runs and finishing on 64 for 4
Pylewell got off to a flying start scoring 27 off the first 4 overs and 47 off the first 6. With the score on 58 J.Truell had to retire on 21* and immeadiately afterwards Tom Smith bowled Smith to claim Hythe's only wicket.
Five balls later and the game was over A.Duvall finishing on 23* and Pylewell winning by 9 Wickets.
A tough experience for the Hythe lads in what is a very good league.
