Hythe Under 15's Battle Hard Against Bashley Rydal

Coach Sally Harding was very pleased with her side depite going down by 42 runs at the hands of Bashley Rydal.

Not surprisingly Bashley fielded first and must have expected to knock up a big score. But the Hythe lads bowled and fielded well to reduce the Forest side to 90 for 6 off their 18 overs. Harry Smith picked up 3-20 whilst Todd Powell took 2-20.

In the reply Hythe produced a much better performance in the middle with some good calling and backing up. Bashly however were always on top with Bettle claiming 4 wickets and Hythe were bowled all out for 48.

Captain Jonjo Stovell and Nick Shrive topped scored with 9 .

Despite the defeat this was a vast improvement by the young green caps and should give them plenty of encouragement for the rest of the season.
