| Eugene Burzler | Adrian Greyvenstein |
No one will forget the impact these two guys had on Hythe & Dibden during their three seasons with the club, and the good news is that they are still making a big impact for their current clubs.
Eugene played for Hythe during their 13-0 championship winning season of 2001 in which he scored 381 runs at an average of 54.43 and 32 wickets at 12.84. The following season as Hythe came runners up in County 3 Burzler again topped both averages scoring 678 runs (including 134* vs Hook & N.basics) at an average of 84.75 and taking 36 wickets at an average of 10.69.
For the past three seasons Eugene has played for Collingwood in the Airedale & Wharfedale Senior Cricket League in Yorkshire. Having earned promotion by winning the 'B' League in 2006 Collingwood went on, this year to win the top division at first attempt.
Burzler - has been a major influence on Collingwoods rise to the top. In 2006 he scored over 720 runs at an average of 65.45 and taking 37 wickets. This season he won the leagues batting award with an average of 56.00 and captured 28 wickets at 23.57.
A tremendous talent - what a shame he didn't progress with Hampshire

Adrian Greyvenstein played for Hythe for one season in 2003 as Hythe finished 6th in their first season in County 2. Greyvenstein dominated the batting - breaking the County 2 Divisional Record with over 1000 league runs which included scoring 239* at Amport. He also took 22 wickets forming along with Kendrick, Whitlock and Froggett one of the strongest attacks in the division.
After a year in Essex Addie joined Reading in 2005 where he played two seasons playing in the Home Counties League. Addie will probably admit that he didn't have the best of times with Reading and last season made the move to play for Henley in the same league. The club finished 7th in the league but Addie put in some good performances which received glowing praise from his Chairman Paul Bradley.
He turned in to five fors with the ball - 5-32 vs Radlett and 5-32 against Newbury based side Falkland. His best batting performance came in the final game of the season when he cracked 115* vs Finchhampstead. He also managed 49 against his old club Reading which must have pleased him some what.
Addie probably saved his best performances for the ECB's Cockspur Cup. The won the Regional Group stages beating Totton & Eling on the way by 5 wickets. Addie turned in the decent figures of 8-1-23-1 taking Ricky Rawlins wicket in the process. He also caught Damion Shirazi on 95.
In the group final against Ealing he scored 51 which enabled Henley to tie the game and win on losing lesser wickets. Henley finally got knocked out in the Quarter Finals by 4 wickets to St.Just CC (Cornwall) though Addie again made a quick fire 51 which included 4 fours and 3 sixes.
What a shame that ton came on the last game of the season but we all hope that there's many more to come from a fine player in 2008.
