4. Chairman’s Report: Woody said the club have had a successful season and a good spirit within the club with many colts coming through. Financially it has not been a bad year and the bar did well thanks to Mike. The pitch again was good thanks to the hard work of Mike and Sean. The Chairman is proud of the clubs achievements and proud to be associated with the club.
5. Treasurer’s Report:
- There is £----.-- in bank at the moment, which is £300 up on this time last year. (If you wish to know the figure e.mail chiv) However we still have 5 months to pay @ £265 to the Sports Club each month before the start of the season.
- We once again have to thank Paul Whitlock and ABP for their generous sponsorship to the tune of £650 which will help greatly with the finances
- The Colts will have a bill to pay of about £700 for Houndsdown School nets, but as the colts have already started their indoor training - there will be income to help cover this.
- There was a loss of £500 on the Presentation Evening which was a great improvemnet on the previous year, although we never expect to make a profit on this.
- Subscription letters will be sent out earlier this year in an effort to raise some extra income.
- We have been offered the use of a room at the B.A.T Social Club free of charge for a fund raiser, but it was thought that it would be better to wait until the begining of the season and run a quiz at the clubhouse as this would give us income behind the bar.
Subscriptions for 2008
Subscriptions will remain the same. - £30 for adult member, rising to £40 if not paid before 1/6/2008, £15 for colts rising to £20 if not paid before 1/6/2008.
It was suggested that after the 1st June a list will be produced with a list of non payers.
Match fees will stay at £5 for adults, £3.50 for colt playing in adult match and £1 for colts games. This was passed.
Associate Cricket Membership, as a social membership to the cricket club from 1/5/2008 to 31/8/2008 at a cost of £5. Mark Croucher became our first paid up member of the year.

11.AOB
* It was decide to enter sides in the Presidents Cup and the Stone Cup in 2008 as the New Forest Cup is a Twenty20 Sunday afternoon competition
* CRB Forms - are hopefully on there way and these will need to be completed by team captains and anyone in direct contact with colts.
* We were wondering when the alterations to the clubhouse are likely to be finished. So far the footballers have spent £4200. Tony Wood to contact Robbie Parsons to find out what is happening.
* Simon Dixon to attend Hampshire League AGM
* B.A.T have offered their facilities for our Presentation Evening in 2008. Tony Wood to organise a meeting mid season to discuss the event and start the ball rolling.
* Midweek Fixtures for 2008. Great additional revenue for the club. Chiv needs more support this year not only with people playing but with support with teas and the bar. Key people that were involved last year are not available so much this year and it would be a shame to lose the revenue. A touring side can easily put £200-£250 behind the bar plus we get the tea money and barbe if we do one.
* 8 Twin Rooms have been booked for the Tour. We must be more organised this year with regards to numbers so we don't have to pay for empty rooms. Someone needs to volunteer to organise the minibus.
* As a group of people we are not good at getting sponsorship for our club. During the summer months we have 30,000 hits a month on our website. If anyone knows of a company or shop that would sponsor a match ball then we will mention them on our website for £20. Chiv commented that Al Taylor mentioned the building firm that sponsors the football were intersted in doing something last year. Tony Wood will speak with Robbie Parsons for the contact.
* Mike has requested that there is more help with running the bar, particularly when the colts game's are on. He also requested with more help with preparing the pitches and it has been suggested that there is a rota for adults and to ask some of the older colts to give up some time an evening a week and have a rota for them as well. Tony Wood looking at rota
* Mike found it frustrating last year that a lot of effort went into preparing wickets and due to adverse weather on a Friday night games had to be cancelled. He requested that we looked into purchasing some covering to prevent this happening. It would also help the income of the club with less matches being called off. Tony Wood looking into covering
* It has been suggested that we put a working party together in late April / Earlyt May to lay some slabs infront of the clubhouse to replace the mudpatch and to improve the appearance of the clubhouse. Volunteers will be required. Rich Froggett and Wrighty to organise.
* Last year due to the weather the outfield was far too long. It has been suggested that we contact the Parish Council and request that the grass is cut on a Thursday or Friday. One solution suggested was that if the outfield is too long then the boundary is brought in to the minimum required by the league. Tony Wood to speak with Sean at the Council.
* As we have a young Sunday Captain this year in Russell - it has been asked that he is given a lot of support from the senior members of the club.
Meeting closed at 9.25pm
