UNDER 13'S Vs LYMINGTON 'B'

REVENGE ON LYMINGTON BY UNDER 13's

Hythe Under 13's turned in an exciting 18 run victory over Lymington 'B' and gain some revenge on 85 runs defeat they suffered at the hands of Lymington 'A' earlier this month.

Matt Young and Lee Powell were the main stars for Hythe though coach Sally Harding was especially pleased with the all round fielding display by her team.

Hythe batted first for a change and a good opening partnership between Matt Young and Todd Powell was the platform for Hythe to get to 88 for 3 off their 18 overs. Matt Young retired on 30 and Todd Powell made 18.

Still Young and Harry Smith can't make runs on the same day and Smith was out for a duck but Nick Shrive 6, Alex Dean 7* and Charlie Crane 8* assisted in Hythe's decent total.

Lymington were always behind the clock thanks to some fine bowling by Todd Powell 2 - 8 off 4, and Harry Smith 0-11 off 4 but they increased the pace after 10 overs thanks to F.Ambrose who had to retire on 30*.

All the Hythe bowlers bowled well and Matt Young capped a fine display with 2 catches behind the stumps as Lymington fell 18 runs short to give Hythe their second win of the season.
