Hythe Second XI got back to winning ways with a comfortable 9 wicket win over victory over Milford on Sea.

Hythe won the toss and elected to field.

Once again the opening bowlers Mike Edward (12 overs, 5 wickets for 25 runs) and Rich Bunce (12 overs, 2 wickets for 26 runs ) kept things tight and took wickets at regular intervals such that Milford were 53 for 7 by the end of the 24^th over. This bought Wayne Effeny ( 3 overs for 10 runs ) and Chalky White ( 3 overs ,3 wickets for 2 runs) into the attack who polished of the innings in double quick time, Milford being all out for 64 in the 30^th over.

Catches were taken by Pete Stevens snr, Wayne Effeny, Rich Bunce and Gary Howe, who also stumped 1 victim. The stumps were hit by Mike Edwards twice, Rich Bunce and Chalky White once each.

In reply Hythe unluckily lost Mike Bowman for a first ball duck when he top edged a long hop to cover, but Sean Tongs (44 not out ) and Wayne Effeny (18 not out) reached the victory target in the 10^th over with out any further alarms, giving Hythe and Dibden a 9 wicket victory.
