DIXIE REPORTS ON LAST NIGHTS HAMPSHIRE LEAGUE AGM

a) Change in League Format

Effective 2008, County 4 will be split into two divisions, County 4 North
and County 4 South.  This is due to the addition of 16 more sides into
Regional 4 which has made this almost unmanageable. Normal promotions and
relegations will apply at the end of the 2007 season.  The rule omn
promotions has been changed accordingly with 4 teams being relegated from
county 3 from 2008 onwards, and two being promoted from each new County 4.

b)  Overseas

In light of the above (despite me voting against it) the ruking on overseas
players has been altered with only teams in County 1-3 allowed to register
and field an overseas player.
In addition, only one overseas player is allowed per club.  Both of these
are from 2008.

c) Start of Play

A stupid proposal was made to change the start times of all divisions to
1pm.  After a comment by my good self and many others stating that many
players now have to work Saturday mornings, especially 16-19 year old
players, this would be a disaster.  Thankfully it was voted out.

That was about it really.  All the other stuff was about changing one word
here and there on rulings.  They stated that many teams havent yet paid
their subscription...have we!?!?
