A DARK HORSE - KEN MUNDAY
For years every weekend he walks over from his back garden ( if his wife lets him ) to watch a bit of the cricket.
He never brags about his playing days but let me tell you that Ken Munday could bowl a bit.
His Batting Average only 8 with a highest score of 46 but Kens bowling figures are pretty decent bowling over 2,200 overs for the club and taking 425 wickets at 15.21
In the 1964 season he took 28 wickets for the club and one of his top preformances is from 1965 and is our Memorable Match of the week.
So next time you bump into him, just remind him that you know of his achievemnets - I am sure he will appreciate it.
Since I have been doing the history of Hythe I have spoken to many of the ex players, most of who are now in their sixties plus and they all remember their playing careers with fond memories.
We will all be that age one day - some sooner than others
