TO ALL MEMBERS - FROM WHITS
Don't know if you are aware but the wonderful Hythe & Dibden Parish Council have advised us that we can no longer park cars in the ground.
Apparently a member of the public has expressed concern that someone could get run over and
as a result the Council has conveniently found a old bye law banning us from
parking in the ground.
I propose that firstly we request to see a copy of this bye law, and
assuming it exists see if we can challenge it legally.
Secondly we should make a point of going to the local press bemoaning on how
are local Council are stopping us from allowing cars into the field - which is something they have done going back to forty years.
What this means is that we will have to park along Jones Lane. The footballers have been
doing this for sometime, so this would lead to all year round parking
outside the club, how long before a complaint or yellow lines appear, I
wonder.
I also see in the Lymington Times this week a complaint from a resident
about the H&D Parish Council now set to spend (waste) more money on
floodlighting the skate board park so it can stay open to 10.30pm, this is
totally unbelievable the Council must be mad this will lead to even more
trouble and vandalism.
COULD WE HAVE YOUR VIEWS PLEASE ON HOW WE SHOULD TACKLE THE COUNCIL WITH THIS PROBLEM.
I HAVE COPIED THIS TO THE MESSAGE BOARD FOR YOUR VIEWS.
CONSTRUCTIVE COMMENTS PLEASE
