HYTHE & DIBDEN CRICKET CLUB

COLTS 2005 REVIEW

Hythe Under 11's run by Sally Harding once again struggled pre season to find enough players to field a side. Five weeks later and the squad had doubled with some promising talent on toe. They finished 5th of 10 winning 4 games in the process.

Matt Young showed what a good talent he will be with the right coaching, whilst Harry Smith topped the runs scoring and Todd Powell was chief wicket taker.

Lesley Head's side had a brilliant second half to the season to finish 6th after winning 5 games. Helped by using her nephews from West Sussex each week and with Ben Smith topping the run making the league must have been wondering what was going on after Hythe had lost the first 4 matches. Good job the Bashley game was postponed - we would have had a riot had we beat them.
