Toss Won by : Hythe
Si Dixon inserted Whitchurch and it did not take long before Richie Froggett struck with just one on the board, however to Hythe's surprise the Whitchurch wicket played much better than expected and the bowlers had to be patient against some determined Whitchurch batting.
At 57 Ben Kendrick picked up the second wicket and at 88 Paul Whitlock struck removing M.Oates for a useful 37. S.Trinder 51 was holding the Whitchurch batting together as Hythe applied more and more pressure with tight bowling and fine fielding, and the pressure finally told as Si Dixon and Keith Alderman instigated run outs and the returning Grobler and Froggett both struck as Whitchurch slipped from 118-3 to 144-7.
Then the returning Whitlock struck again and in the same over Alderman run out the ninth Whitchurch wicket, and with the last ball of the innings Kendrick finished off Whitchurch for 150.
In reply Hythe openers Kev and Rob James were in no mood to miss out on the good batting strip.
Both bats dominated from the start passing 50 from just 13 overs and with both hitting blistering shots to all parts, the only surprise came when Kev James fell for a very fine 46 at 95.
Simon Dixon joined Rob who batting as well as ever passed 50 as Hythe reached 135 before he fell lbw for a superb 54.
Si Wright then came in and was unlucky to get a good ball early but Dixon 19* and Kendrick 4* reached the victory target at 153-3 with 12 overs to spare.
Another fine all-round performance.
