Looks to me as though the Rovers player didn’t properly ground the call for the first half try. Some controversy over Liam Austwicke’s yellow for a high tackle and no yellow for a west player for something similar second half.
Liam’s was a tip tackle and he wasn’t ten; unfortunately rules state it is a yellow. High tackle by west in second half (I think it was Butcher), the initial contact was on the chest and then slid up high and rules would advise penalty only unless there is other factors like excessive force or intention.
Personal opinion on both of the above is penalty only, regardless of world rugby guidelines it must be said that Liam was unlucky to be given a ten minute break.
You could actually argue that dumping Painter on his head when not ten yards was a red and in the present climate Butcher's tackle was a yellow.However that was all last week.
