Everyone will agree that the playing kit and leisurewear provided by Canterbury of Newcastle was a great success and they will once again provide the kit for the forthcoming season.
Running a rugby club in this day and age remains a difficult task, especially financially, so thanks to all those players who were prompt with the payment of annual subs, additional kit purchases and weekly match fees. On the flip side, those who were late in payment or, in some cases, still owe money; help contribute to the aforementioned difficulties.
Last year, your £50 annual subs was split between the club (membership fee, RFU insurance, club running costs, etc.) and some of the kit you received at the start of the season. Your £3 weekly match fee was vital in supporting the running of the playing side of the club; providing balls and equipment, food after training, 3G pitch hire, etc.
It is proposed that the same model will be followed this year; in return for early payment of £50 annual subscription (again no rise) you will receive:
Due to their quality, most people’s playing shorts are still in good order and so they will not be replaced unless you request and pay for a new pair; this will help the club save money and as we have been lucky enough to secure sponsorship from the Carphone Warehouse at 1st team level for a second year, the shirt design will remain the same for this forthcoming season, as will the Stags and Bucks shirts.
Anyone wishing to order additional items of kit can do so by entering their requirements on the order form overleaf. Please be aware that due to the fact they are specially made, some items are subject to a minimum order of 10 (so we need at least 10 people across the club to order one to raise the order); these items are highlighted overleaf.
People wishing to use player sponsorship to pay for annual subs and/or additional kit can again do so – please fill in the ‘Sponsor Details’ Section below so their details can appear in the programme and on the website.
Many items are available in women’s fit and sizes and also children’s sizes (generally ages 8, 10, 12, 14 then small mans). Due to logistics, if you would like children’s kit, please specify and pay for it (at the same price) with your adult order and I will then attempt to source it. If it cannot be sourced you will receive a full refund. Due to the discounted price of ALL goods, there is no significant difference between the cost of the adult and children’s ranges; where there is a small difference this will once again be reimbursed at the time of delivery.
Please be prompt with your payments and add any money overdue from last year to your amount. Goods will not be ordered unless payment is received beforehand.
