Mark McGregor

Player Manager

Chester-born central defender who joined gap Connah's Quay from Altrincham as player-manager in July 2009. Started his career as a Wrexham trainee, signing a pro contract in July 1995 and made more than 250 Football League appearances before a free transfer to Burnley. Further spells with Blackpool and Port Vale saw him reach 423 League appearances in total. Equally adept in defence or midfield, his knowledge, experience and many contacts in football stands Mark in good stead in his Managerial and Coaching capacity with the Nomads.

Jay Catton

Assistant Manager & Academy Director

Previously a player with Nomads but took on coaching role after four knee operations. Complated UEFA A license this year and also has UEFA B license in coaching goalkeepers and a BA (Hons) degree in Sports Coaching and exercise Sciences

Neil Ebrill

Goalkeeping Coach

Ellesmere Port based goalkeeper coach with 20 years West Cheshire league playing experience and up to 7 years coaching experience. Neil holds the FAW B licence in coaching goalkeepers and this is the highest accolade within the FAW. Besides coaching within the first team Neil also coaches all the club goalkeepers within the academy and reserve side. In addition to his club duties Neil also coaches a number of junior & senior goalkeepers privately and has coaching network links within Liverpool, Everton and Tranmere Rovers.
