AN EXCITING SEASON LIES AHEAD FOR NOMADS. WITH ALL HOME GAMES TO BE PLAYED AT FLINTS COMPACT CAE Y CASTELL GROUND AND SOME INTERESTING CHANGES IN PLAYING PERSONELL, THE OPENING WPL FIXTURES PROVIDE NOMADS WITH AN IDEAL OPPORTUNITY TO START THE NEW SEASON WITH A BANG!

After a disastrous start to last season, Nomads finished the season with an excellent 6 match unbeaten run, including creditable home victories against Aberystwyth and professionals Llanelli and an away draw at  EUFA bound Carmarthen.

3 of the 4 pre-season friendly games arranged so far, are home games, giving players and fans alike time to adapt and acclimatise to their new Flint home. This is ideal preparation for achieving strong home form. The leagues opening fixture list has been kind to Nomads. With home games to Newtown and Caernafon and away trips to Haverfordwest and Druids and based on form at the end of last season, Nomads will be confidently going for maximum points.

Marc Limbert has expressed his delight at returning to Nomads as club Captain and has publicly stated his commitment to to good football, played on the ground. Paul Smith, Chris Williams, Gary Pinch, Phil Molyneaux and Gary O'Toole have so far been re-signed for next season and Manager Nev Powells pursuit of other quality players, is well documented on other parts of this website. Who knows? even the two experienced players who left the club to join Hednesford, Danny Jellicoe and Tommy Mutton, could be destined for a quick return if travelling proves too much. With the players so far signed, more of last seasons squad yet to sign, Nevs new captures and possible returnees. Nomads have the makings of a team even stronger than the team that finished last season so well
